In Loving Memory of Our Founder

National Horse Blankets was founded by Sandi Ehrhardt Heitritter in 2003. She wanted to manufacture a product that would not only keep horses dry, warm, and protected, but also stand up to long-term use. Over the years, NHB had carried many brands that only filled some of these needs. She then set out to design and build her own line of blankets with the best raw material and assembly processes. She was also very proud that this could be accomplished right in the USA. Sandi was a true American Cowgirl living and promoting that lifestyle from a young age. She was an accomplished Team Penner winning many Championship Saddles and Buckles in her career. She was also a very successful breeder understanding what bloodlines work together. We proudly continue to use her designs and grow her product line in her memory. To galloping across the clouds in Heaven - Rest Easy Cowgirl.

Forever A Family Business

National Horse Blankets continues to be a family business. Kevin and Sandi's son Holden are also a part of the business and plan to help promote its success. They feel it is important to keep her memory alive and are helping with the design of the Sandi Signature Series Blanket. This will be a product line available later this year. Sandi instilled great family values as a wife, mother, and business women and she is thought of daily.

Taylor Jenkins is a long-time family friend of Kevin, Sandi, and Holden. Taylor was involved with Sandi when it came to horses over the years and has become a big sister to Holden. She has her bachelor's Degree in Public Relations in Strategic Communication from Washington State University. Taylor is eager to help Kevin and Holden with National Horse Blankets and will be your first point of contact for anything you may need.
